Christopher Meade, 30, is being charged with:

  • Unlawful possession of a firearm
  • Unlawful possession of ammunition
  • Assault and battery with a dangerous weapon
  • Discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building

The charges stem from an incident in which officers arrived at 48 Clifford St. just before 4 a.m. on Dec. 4 to find a person suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to Boston police.

Paramedics rushed them to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Meade is already in custody for a car chase that went viral online on Dec. 11, when Meade and another suspect, Kailyn Almeida, 23, of Bridgewater, led a dozen police cars on a chase through Dorchester and South Boston.

Both were arrested after the failed getaway. A gun was also found on the ground next to the SUV, police said.

He pleaded not guilty to charges in connection with that incident after appearing in court last week, the Boston Globe reported.

Meade is set to return to court on Jan. 17, 2024, for a pre-trial hearing.
